THE MEDJUGORJE MESSAGES
In the late afternoon of June 24, 1981, the Virgin Mary appeared on a hillside in the parish of Medjugorje in former Yugoslavia – now situated in Bosnia Herzegovina. She carried in her arms the Infant Jesus. This apparition was first seen by two teenage girls, Ivanka Ivankovic and Mirjana Dragicevic. Other local youngsters later witnessed the apparition, and ever since then the Queen of Peace, as she named herself, has been giving messages to a group of six seers, mostly to Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti.
Marija started to receive weekly messages early in 1984 and then monthly messages in 1987. These are considered to be messages for the world. Although the Virgin has been giving messages from the outset of her apparitions, only those from 2000 onwards are published here as that was the year of my first ever visit to Medjugorje – a pilgrimage that changed my life! (Since added messages for years 1986 to 1999)

On February 13, 2017, Pope Francis expressed a personal view saying he doubted the alleged current apparitions (and so therefore the messages) and added “these alleged apparitions do not have much value.”
